"Garlic Butter Mac N Cheese" w/Portobello Mushrooms Prepared by Clarence Gardener |
It's true! Sometimes we just want to relax with a dish that makes the moment stand still in time. A dish that allows us to use multiple senses at a time. A dish that brings on a sense of comfort. While it is also true that most comfort food consist of sugar filled recipes that are extremely unhealthy, I wanted to experiment with a more healthy version of a classic comfort dish often prepared that could be enjoyed just the same.
DIRECTIONS:
1. Boil Penne Pasta for 15min on HI. Also preheat your oven to 375˚.2. Sautee Portobello Mushrooms in large skillet/pan using medium heat(add Minced Garlic/Unsalted butter/Canola Oil).
3. When the pasta is ready, strain off the water and add the pasta to the skillet/pan.
4. Begin to blend/mix the pasta with mushrooms and all other ingredients and seasonings.
5. Use a glass oven bake pan - add/create a first layer of pasta in your glass oven bake pan.
6. Add your cheese and drizzle olive oil in the middle - add second layer of pasta on top.
7. Add your cheese and additional seasoning if needed to the top.
8. Bake for about 8min until the cheese has melted!
9. Remove dish from oven and serve. Drizzle Olive Oil over each plated serving!
